Application for the Doctor of Physical Therapy
Description
The Doctor of Physical Therapy program is based in the College of Health Professions. Physical therapists focus primarily on those individuals whose potential or actual impairment is related to musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary (skin) systems. The Physical Therapy program at MUSC has been a leader in utilizing effective and efficient instructional methods and materials that capitalize on the advantages of instructional technology. We have established diverse clinical education sites that provide our students with a broad-spectrum of clinical experiences. Physical Therapists are in high demand for their skill and experience. This is a profession filled with opportunities for growth and diversification.
Requirements
Applicants admitted to the program will be selected from college and university students who have or will have completed a bachelor degree with a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA prior to admission. Additional requirements can be found at http://www.musc.edu/chp/pt/.
Application Process
In addition to the application, the applicant must complete supplemental forms specific to the program to which he/she is applying. These forms are available in PDF format within the application and are also sent through email once an application is submitted. Applicants are required to submit official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended and all materials must be received by the application deadlines listed below.
