Applicants for admission and students not now holding the status of resident of the State of South Carolina but who are seeking to be classified as a resident of the state are advised to file a petition requesting to be granted in-state status. Residency is determined by the University Residency Officer in the Office of Enrollment Management, according to the Code of Laws of the State.
