New Email Hotline for All MUSC Student Insurance Policy Holders! You may now submit questions concerning your MUSC student health insurance coverage to the following address, studenthealthins@musc.edu.  Please allow 48 to 72 hours for a reliable response.

Life-threatening Emergencies

Call 911 if you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or go to the nearest emergency department.

Normal Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm  Student Health is closed on all State Holidays.

After Hours Medical Care - Students requiring urgent care when Student Health Services is closed may be seen at any local urgent care facility.  Students who have Pearce & Pearce Insurance should refer to "Important Information Regarding Your Student Health Insurance Plan" for guidance.  Students on the P&P plan who seek medical care in a hospital-based emergency room should be aware that if not admitted to the hospital, there is a $250 co-pay in addition to your deductible.   

Clearing the Air

As a part of the MUSC Clearing the Air effort, Student Health and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) want to offer assistance for students who wish to stop smoking. Students who wish to receive individualized behavioral therapy for smoking cessation can contact CAPS for an appointment Students who are interested in prescription medications for smoking cessation can see the physicians at Student Health (792-3664) or at CAPS (792-4930) for an appointment. There is no charge for these services.
