Student Parking Information
As the start of the fall semester grows nearer, students are reminded of the following important parking information:
Patient parking lot G has closed for construction of two new buildings. This parking loss makes it imperative that the two MUSC patient parking garages, Jonathan Lucas Street garage and Ashley-Rutledge garage, be dedicated 100% to patient parking. Students are not authorized to park at any time in either of these patient parking facilities.
Traffic entering patient parking facilities will be monitored. Any students attempting to enter will be turned away or if found parked in a patient parking facility will receive a parking citation for unauthorized parking.
The after-hours student parking program has been relocated from G lot to the President Street garage. Program hours are 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends and major holidays. More details are available on the parking home page www.musc.edu/parking.
Students are encouraged to ride CARTA. CARTA is free with an MUSC ID.
Parking in student lots is still available for the fall. Students are encouraged to contact the Office of Parking Management and make personal parking arrangements prior to the beginning of classes.
The Hagood parking system will be operating at capacity when classes resume. Students should not depend solely on the Hagood system and should not count on being able to park even for a few hours in a patient garage.
Parking Management is located on the second floor of the President Street employee garage and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone 843-792-3665.
Thanks to all students for your understanding and cooperation.
