Spirituality and Health at MUSC

WELCOME to the web site for the Spirituality and Health Interest Group at MUSC. The Interest Group is a multi-disciplinary group of faculty and students who are interested in encouraging education and research regarding spirituality and health matters.

Our vision is to see the spiritual perspective of patients and providers fully integrated into health care education and practice. We encourage the exchange of ideas, curriculum models, research projects, and programs in the area of spirituality and health in all medical disciplines. Members of the group include physicians, chaplains, nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists, and mental health professionals, all dedicated to exploring and more fully understanding the spiritual concerns of patients and the spiritual context of medical illness and compassionate health care.

Please explore the material available on this web site. We have links that describe the field of spirituality and health, our current curriculum offerings, and resources of interest.
