Calendar

The Student Calendar AY 2018-19

  • At the beginning of each rotation, students receive a calendar in their orientation packets. The calendar originated from student suggestions to have one "quick reference" document that included all requirements and deadlines.
  • Students have responsibilities and activities with both rural preceptors in the clinical setting and with MUSC Family Medicine faculty members in didactic activities at MUSC.
  • It is the student's responsibility to give his/her rural preceptor a copy of the calendar so that the preceptor is aware of the student's schedule
  • Below is a typical schedule

How will I know where I'm supposed to go when I leave Charleston, what do I need to bring?  One to two weeks prior to the beginning of the rotation, students should be contacted by the
AHEC community site coordinators (different for each region) who will provide students with detailed information (mailed to student's home address or e-mailed to student's MUSC e-mail address). Students are encouraged to communicate with the MUSC clerkship coordinator or the AHEC community site coordinator to address questions and/or concerns prior to the rotation.
