Summer Research Programs - Application Procedure

Applications to the Summer Health Professional Program (SHP) are to be completed jointly with the student's research sponsor.

The student application must be submitted online at:
https://www.carc.musc.edu/summer/fellowship/

The research sponsor application must be submitted online at:
https://www.carc.musc.edu/summer/sponsor

Both the student application and the sponsor application must be submitted online by the deadline of January 31, 2014. Students will be notified of their acceptance status as soon as the program receives notice of the final grant awards by the awarding agencies. This could be as late as April 30, 2014. A list of extramurally funded MUSC faculty and their project titles can be found at: http://erma.musc.edu/mygrants/. Students who need assistance in finding a sponsor should contact one of following:

Students must submit two letters recommending them to the program. The first letter of recommendation should come from the Dean's Office of your college, stating that you are a current student in good standing.  The second letter should be written by one of your current Professors.  Additionally, students must submit a copy of their MUSC transcript. These should be sent to the College of Graduate Studies, Dean's Office, 68 President Street. - BE 101, MSC 501, Charleston, SC 29425-5010, attn: Stephanie Brown-Guion.
