Summer Research Programs - Application Procedure
Applications to the Summer Health Professional Program (SHP) are to be completed jointly with the student's research sponsor.

Both the student application and the sponsor application must be submitted online by the deadline of February 15, 2016. Students will be notified of their acceptance status as soon as the program receives notice of the final grant awards by the awarding agencies. This could be as late as April 29, 2016. A list of extramurally funded MUSC faculty and their project titles can be found at: http://erma.musc.edu/mygrants/. Students who need assistance in finding a sponsor should contact one of following:

Students must submit the following:
- For short term Research training in Metabolic Diseases: Submit a transcript from MUSC.
- For short term Research training for Minority Medical Students in Cardiovascular Research: 1 letter from dr. Hazen-Martin stating you are a current student in good standing.
- For short term Research in Oral Health Science: 1 letter from Dr. Tariq Javed stating you are a current student in good standing.
- For Short Term Research Training in Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences: If the applicant's school is on a pass/fail system, a letter from the Dean's Office must be provided certifying the student is in good standing and passing with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
These requirements must be received by Stephanie Brown-Guion, in the College of Graduate Studies Office, Bioengineering Bldg., 101F, no later than February 15, 2016.
