Application materials for the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) include:


1. Application form

2. An official transcript of all college work (from each institution attended) - to be mailed to the address below

3. Two academic letters of recommendation (preferably from faculty familiar with science coursework) - to be mailed, faxed or emailed to the address below.

4.  Application for Summer 2016 will be available November 30, 2015.

The application includes essay type questions. Please make sure your answers are brief and to the point - 100 words or less for each section.

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program by mid-March by email. Once accepted, applicants will be required to submit additional information and a packet of forms will be sent out, which must be completed and returned upon receipt.  Upon acceptance into the program, each participant must submit to a criminal background check and a drug screen test in accordance with MUSC requirements. An unsatisfactory result in either of these will result in rescinding the offer into the program.

The Application deadline is January 31, 2016. All Application materials (application, transcripts, and recommendations) must be received by January 31, 2016.  No exceptions made.
