General Nature of Work:

Plans, coordinates and directs multiple programs within a major division of the Department of Archives and History.

Manages a section or unit of multiple programs for the Department of Archives and History.
Organizes, coordinates and supervises one of the following activities: major historical documents program; building and equipment grants and other grants-in-aid; records management programs in state or local governments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of archives, records management, editing and publishing historical documents, historic preservation and/or historic preservation grants management.
Knowledge and understanding of supervisory and management techniques.
Knowledge of South Carolina history.
Ability to plan, organize and direct staff activities.
Ability to express ideas and interpret policies and procedures clearly and concisely.

A bachelor's degree and experience in an advanced level of archivist, records management, historic document editing and/or grants management.

A bachelor's degree and experience in an advanced level of archivist, records management, historic document editing and/or grants management.

MUSC Physical Requirements:
