MUSC Wellness Center Digital Photography Program

Digital Photography Classes and Workshops Schedules January 2010

Adult & Teen DP Classes: $100 member | $150 non-members

DP101 is an introduction to the fundamental controls for all digital photographers.
Highlights include intro to learning qualities of light, modern exposure, critical camera adjustments, benefit of weekly practice and review.

DP102 is for students looking to build upon the technical aspects of taking digital photos.
Highlights include getting perfect exposures, good lighting, making sharp images,
getting great colors, benefit of weekly practice and review.

DP103 is an introduction on how to use photoshop
Highlights include fixing dark images, correcting color cast/white balance, lighten or darken photos, using burn and dodge tools and sharpening your images.

Workshops: $250 member | $300 non-member

Youth & Underserved Photography Program

"MUSC Wellness Youth Photography Hour" Summary: MUSC Wellness Center Photography Program in conjunction with participating organizations and sponsors are proud to offer grass-roots photography for numerous youth communities. The opportunity to take fun pictures while learning the fundamentals of photography and education on display of images is integral to creating future visual landscapes. Eligible youth groups consist of boys and/or girls between 8-18 years of age that are charter by an organization or sponsor.

Donate used compact digital or DSLR cameras and/or lenses, memory cards and batteries

Prints and frames are necessary to begin a child's visual landscape but are a large expense.
