The MUSC Wellness Center has certified personal trainers available. The trainers have experience in all areas of fitness and can accommodate a variety of fitness and wellness goals. Personal training can be used for advances in general fitness, weight loss, sports specific training, and post rehabilitation. MUSC Wellness Center personal trainers design safe and effective exercise programs that are customized to meet the needs of each individual. Programs focus on education, instruction, and motivation to reach health and fitness goals.
Post Rehabilitation trainers are also available. These trainers assist individuals in achieving a maximum recovery to fitness following injury or surgery. They also specialize in developing fitness programs for clients with various limitations due to chronic disease or musculoskeletal disorders. Post Rehab trainers accommodate any client with special needs after release from a physician, physical therapist, or occupational therapist.
Personal Training can also be done in small groups. Group Personal Training provides participants a fun and cost effective way to meet fitness goals. Participants are grouped based on similar goals and fitness levels. Trainers focus on safety, variety, efficiency, and effectiveness. Group Training offers the accountability and education of personal training along with added social support and encouragement of a workout partner.

*MUSC Students receive 25% off all private, duet, and group single session prices.

All personal training sessions must be purchased in advance.  Training availability is based on current programs and trainers’ schedules.  24 hour appointment cancellation is required-session is otherwise forfeited.  Packages expire 6 months from purchase.
