Walking the Bridge

The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, a 2.5 mile span, connects Charleston to Mount Pleasant over the Cooper River. If you have lived in Charleston during the past 5 years, you will recall the excitement of watching the bridge under construction and the coming down of the old Grace Bridge. The bridge has become a symbol of our whole community. Looking out into the harbor gives you a new perspective on where you live.

Monthly Bridge Walks

We will be holding scheduled bridge walks the first Saturday of every month, and our next bridge walk will take place Saturday June 1st.  You will probably still see us out there but we won't officially gather in the parking lot at 9:00 am each weekend.

We’d like to take this opportunity to encourage each of you to continue to exercise on your own – we are humbled to have been a part of your A-HA moment that started you on your health journey, and it is evident that many of you have made impressive changes and learned how to successfully incorporate exercise and healthy eating into your life.

Remember, all your miles count….indoors, outdoors, on a bike or in the gym. Email us at leanteam@musc.edu, and be looking for our newsletter in your inbox. We hope to see you at our next official bridge walk on Saturday June 1st at 9:00 am.
