In order to know where you are starting from, it is important to get an idea of how healthy or unhealthy you are. By checking a few simple measures, you can establish your risk for disease and have a gauge of how much you are progressing as you begin working to improve your body composition and fitness level. Measures such as height, weight, body mass index (BMI), body fat, and blood pressure can indicate your health status. BMI is a measure of body weight compared to height.
