Boeing Center for Children's Wellness School RFP Information

MUSC Boeing Center for Children's Wellness Request for Proposals (RFP) now available!

The MUSC Boeing Center for Children's Wellness Docs-Adopt School Wellness Initiative has been implemented in selected SC school districts since 2010.  We are now expanding to other school districts across the state!  The initiative has two main components: 1) a School Wellness Checklist Contest that makes it easy for schools to promote school wellness and receive awards for their work, and 2) training and support to connect community physicians with school wellness efforts.  Schools that fully implement the initiative receive award money that their wellness committees can use towards making physical activity and nutrition changes of their own choosing.  Please see the attached RFP application for more details.

This Request for Proposals is an opportunity for school districts to apply for school wellness awards for all qualifying schools in their district.  School districts will also receive a full technical assistance and support package from MUSC Boeing Center for Children's Wellness.  This is a three year funding opportunity!

To qualify your school district must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by April 4, 2014.  We will not accept any RFP applications that have not submitted an LOI!  Please see the attached RFP application and Appendix A on page 9 for a sample LOI.

Letter of Intent Due April 4, 2014
RFP applications due June 20, 2014
