This ninety acre historic site is seven miles from the downtown medical campus. It houses five institutions representing the full diversity of modern marine science

Marine Biomedicine & Environmental Sciences (MBES)
Grice Marine Lab (Grice)
South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR)
National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST)
National Ocean Service (NOS)

All five institutions also have additional laboratories in the new Hollings Marine Lab (HML)
