Research My research focuses on the natural products produced by coral-associated microorganisms and how those products might be affecting coral health. Specifically, I will be comparing healthy and diseased coral-associated microorganisms, and isolating natural products with anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity. I will be utilizing various HPLC and LC-MS chromatographic methods to isolate the compounds, and determining their structure through NMR and MS techniques.
