Research Interest:
Comparative immunobiology and immunotoxicology. Current efforts are directed towards understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms behind resistance to both infectious diseases agents and environmental contaminants. Other efforts are directed at understanding the phylogeny of neuroendocrine-immune interactions in lower vertebrates. On another front, we develop immunotherapeutic approaches to neoplastic diseases in non-human models.
