Two 2012 MBES SURP Students win at Research Conference Two 2012 MBES SURP students won in Louis Stokes South Carolina for Minority Participation (LS-SCAMP) Undergraduate Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology Research conference, on October 13, 2012, held at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Aposia Singleton won 1st Place in Biological Sciences III from research on “The analysis of DNA methylation in American Alligators originating from contaminated and reference environments” from research in the lab of Dr. Louis Guillette, Jr. and Rhonda Hook won 3rd Place in Biological Sciences I from research with MBES Mentor, Dr. Gregory Doucette on “Identification of Subcellular Molecular Targets of the Algal Biotoxin, Azaspiracid”. |
