Research Interest:

Dissertation Research
Exposure and response of the endangered Morelet’s crocodile to environmental contaminants in Belize, Central America.  Title – “Ecotoxicology of Morelet’s crocodile in Belize”.

Current Research
Biology, ecotoxicology, and conservation of reptiles, particularly crocodilians and turtles.  Much of my recent research has focused on the impacts of environmental pollution, habitat alteration, and over-exploitation on endangered species in Belize, Costa Rica, and India.  The focus of my current appointment with MUSC/HML is examining the effects of environmental stress (e.g., pollution, climate change) on growth and reproduction, using the American alligator as model.
