Lynn M. Schnapp, M.D.
Director of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy & Sleep Medicine
The program offers a three-year combined fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and has five positions available per year. Training focuses on developing clinical expertise as well as research skills in pulmonary disease, intensive care medicine, sleep disorders and allergic disease of the chest.
Dr. Argula was born in Hyderabad, India. He completed his medical schooling further south in the coastal town of Puducherry, at JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research). After graduating from medical school, he moved to Houston, TX to pursue a Master’s degree in public health at the UT school of Public Health, focusing on Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at MUSC, and following this, completed his fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care also at MUSC. In 2013, he joined the faculty at MUSC with an interest in COPD and Pulmonary Vascular Disease. His research interests include COPD, Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction for advanced emphysema, Imaging based biomarkers in lung disease and Pulmonary physiology.

Dr. Chitra Lal has been selected as a member of the American College of Chest Physicians Sleep Medicine NetWork Steering Committee.
Dr. Lynn Schnapp has been appointed to the Editorial Board of PLoS ONE, an international, peer-reviewed, open-access online journal.
Dr. Alice Boylan has received the 2014 MUSC Foundation Outstanding Clinician Award. The award was presented to her at the 2014 Faculty Convocation on August 19th.
The Charleston Regional Business Journal has named Dr. Dee Ford as an honoree for the 2014 Influential Women in Business award. She is one of 12 women to receive this award, and one of three women to receive the award in the category of Rising Star.
Dr. Talmadge King, Jr. will be giving a Special Lecture on August 25, 2014 at 12:00pm, in the Bioengineering Building Room 112. The lecture is entitled "Management of IPF:Where are we today?".
The Steven A. Sahn Lectureship Presents "Interstitial Lung Disease: A Case-Based Approach to Diagnosis Management" by Talmadge King, Jr., MD.
The presentation will be in the Drug Discovery Auditorium at 8:00am.
