Patient Consults and Referrals

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is committed to excellence in clinical care. With a team of nationally-renowned faculty, the division offers a wide range of clinical services including general and specialized ambulatory clinics.

To refer a patient to one of our ambulatory clinics, please complete the Patient Referral Request and fax it to 843-792-2995.  In addition to this request, please fax demographic information, insurance information, clinical office notes, lab results, chest imaging reports, pulmonary function testing, and any additional testing pertinent to the diagnosis. 

You may also reach our scheduling specialists by calling 843-792-9200 during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm).

For inpatient transfer requests, please call the Admit Transfer Center at 843-792-6619.



Congratulations to Julie Driggers, who has been selected as one of the Department of Medicine's Employees of the Quarter!

Julie was presented with the award at the Employee of the Quarter Ceremony on October 27th.


The MUSC Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group had it's inaugural meeting on September 24th

On September 24th, 26 patients and caregivers joined Speaker Jessica Gregorie at the first Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group meeting. Thank you to everyone who participated! We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting in January 2016.

Baylor’s Walk for a Cure, benefitting the ALPHA-1 Foundation’s Building Friends for a Cure, is this Saturday, November 21st.  Gather at the Stono shelter at 9am, and the walk will begin at 10am.  To donate or join the team, visit their website at
