Dr. Matt Malcolm
Over the last decade, Dr. Matt Malcolm has conducted research to improve our understanding of the recovery process following stroke. The specific goals of his research are to (1) determine the neurological mechanisms that underlie and support recovery following stroke, and (2) to develop the most effective therapeutic methods to assist survivors of stroke to participate with daily life activities in a satisfying manner. Presently, Dr. Malcolm and his colleagues are investigating repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation as a method for improving stroke rehabilitation outcomes.
