The Women Scholars Initiative (WSI) recently began the John R. Raymond Mentoring Fellowship. This fellowship was instituted in honor of Dr. John R. Raymond, former MUSC Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs and current President/CEO of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Throughout his tenure at MUSC, Dr. Raymond was a strong advocate for developing faculty and was instrumental in establishing the Women Scholars Initiative.
The WSI received an exceptional group of applications for the fellowship, validating the need to provide support for faculty mentoring opportunities. From this highly competitive group of applications, the WSI has selected Jennifer L. Young, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor, Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as recipient of the 2011-2012 John R. Raymond Fellowship. Dr. Young is the first winner of this annual fellowship.
Congratulations Dr. Young!
