Request a Campus Tour 

  • College of Dental Medicine has limited campus tours available during the summer, 843-792-2344.
     
  • College of Graduate Studies conducts campus tours for applicants invited to interview.
     
  • College of Health Professions offers a campus tour for these programs: Anesthesia for Nurses, Cardiovascular Perfusion, Occupational Therapy, Physical therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Residential Masters in Health Administration
     
  • College of Medicine
    Tours are offered many Fridays throughout the year. For more information please e-mail COM-Admissions@musc.edu. You can also view virtual tours (video) of our campus (including the Simulation lab and Anatomy lab) and programs. Should you be invited for an interview, a campus tour will be provided at that time.
     
  • College of Nursing offers tours on many Fridays during the year. Please visit our web page to register for an upcoming information session and tour.
     
  • College of Pharmacy student ambassadors offer personalized tours by appointment, 843-792-8450.
     
  • Self-guided tour, when on campus
    You can also tour the Medical University of South Carolina from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad with the Ellucian application available in the Apple App Store. Ellucian provides a self-guided overview of the campus.

Media

The MUSC Office of Public Affairs Media Relations team offers assistance to print, broadcast, and online media. We can connect you with faculty experts, assist you with arranging interviews, video and photo shoots on campus, make parking arrangments, or help you locate photos, press releases, or recent news items.

Patients, Visitors, & Family Members

Hospital Operator: Call the MUSC operator at 843-792-2300. You will need the patient's full name (first and last) in order for us to give you their telephone and/or room number.

Gifts/delivery to patients: There are two gift shops on campus that will deliver gifts to patients. Visit the gift shop page for more details, online ordering and contact information.

Three information desks (for vistor passes) are staffed Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., and located at the main University Hospital entrance, the Children's Hospital entrance, and at the Ashley River Tower entrance.

Volunteers

Hospital volunteer services at MUSC Health accept applications throughout the year, and have orientations to train you in the program to which you apply. Our volunteer sevices page lists the areas of need.

Campus Smoking Policy

MUSC is a tobacco-free campus.  Smoking is not permitted in any areas on campus.  This includes the use of chewing tobacco and e-cigarettes. View a map of the campus boundaries.
