Dr. Rheingold is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor at the National Crime Victim's Research and Treatment Center (NCVC) at the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her undergraduate coursework in 1996 at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Cum Laude and with Honors in Psychology. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from MCP Hahnemann University (currently known as Drexel University). Dr. Rheingold completed a Pre-Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at the Charleston Consortium Psychology Internship Program and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the NCVC, Medical University of South Carolina. She is a member of the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy and the Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology (a section within the Clinical Psychology division of the American Psychological Association), as well as other national psychological organizations. Her clinical expertise includes the treatment of anxiety disorders and trauma related mental health issues.  Her main research interests include child sexual abuse prevention, etiological factors and treatment outcome research of trauma related psychopathology. She currently is the PI on a CDC-funded grant examining the effectiveness of a child sexual abuse prevention program with child care professionals. In addition, Dr. Rheingold is the Principal Investigator on a federally funded VOCA service grant to improve resources for survivors of homicide and the Co- Principal Investigator on a federally funded VOCA service grant aimed to improve service utilization for child sexual abuse victims and their families. 

Research Interests: child sexual abuse prevention, etiology of trauma-related anxiety pathology, treatment outcome, early intervention for child sexual abuse problems
