Operative Statistics

The operative experience at MUSC Neurosurgery Residency Program includes all the major sub-specialties of neurosurgery- tumor surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, functional neurosurgery, stereotactic neurosurgery, peripheral nerve and spine surgery. We perform over three thousand cases annually including about one thousand cases in the endovascular suite.  In addition, we perform between 40-50 peripheral nerve cases every year.  We have recently acquired the Perfexion gamma knife in 2010 and have performed more than a hundred procedures so far.
