About: The primary goal of Brain Tumor Action Week is to raise awareness and convince others to join in the fight for an increase in funding for brain tumor research and the development of and access to better treatments.

BTAW Display Table

Date: May 2nd- 6th, 2011

Time: 9 am - 4 pm daily

Location: Hollings Cancer Center, 1st floor lobby (86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC)

Additional Information: Display Table with free brochures and a chance to enter drawing for prizes! Also, pick up FREE brain tumor awareness bracelets and ribbons and make a donation to brain tumor research!  Help support research by purchasing one of our unique T-shirts!


Dr. Ann Kulze Presents: "Just Say Whoa! To Cancer"

Additional Information: Dr. Ann Kulze, Health & Nutrition Specialist: “Just Say Whoa! To Cancer” A Motivational Speech for All Cancer Patients!  Dr. Ann shares the latest in research on health and nutrition for individuals with cancer in a program that is informative, motivating, and entertaining!

Brain Tumor Vigil Service

Location: Hollings Cancer Center, Healing Garden (86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC)

A service of healing, remembrance, advocacy and hope. Please join us for this vigil in support of those who need healing and in remembrance of  those who are no longer with us.


Panel Discussion

Location: Hollings Cancer Center, Conference Room 120 (86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC)

Additional Information:  Panel Discussion with Neuro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Physician Team Members.  An opportunity for anyone interested in brain tumor education to have a Q & A session with our physicians who provide care for these patients every day. We will have representation from neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology/gamma knife, neuroradiology, and neuropathology.

MUSC Brain & Spine Tumor Benefit Concert

Location: The Windjammer on the Isle of Palms (1008 Ocean Blvd. Isle Of Palms, SC 29451)

Additional Information:  Benefit Concert for MUSC Brain Tumor Research. Featuring The 3 Dudes Band, Soul Harbor- Acoustic, Average Savage and Ben Fagan & the Holy City Hooligans. Also, take part in our silent auction! Auction Winners to be announced at 9:30 pm.

$15 at the door, $10 in advance through etix
(All ticket proceeds go towards brain tumor research)
