Striatal Mechanisms of Relapse to Cocaine-seeking

This project is studying the characteristics of striatal-dependent cocaine seeking after varied cocaine histories and periods of abstinence.  In addition, changes in dopamine- and glutamate-mediated neuronal mechanisms within the striatum that may underlie relapse to cocaine seeking are being explored.
