Neurosurgery Residency Program

Operation: La Sierra

Here at the Medical University of South Carolina we are spearheading a wellness initiative within the Neurosurgery Residency Program – a voluntary fitness initiative that will include baseline testing, fitness measurements, body composition testing, regular team building work outs and other various metrics. The goal of the program is to improve resident health and wellness while tracking fitness and sleep habits. Please check back for updates on this initiative.

Meet the Trainers

Alicia O'Connor

Alicia O'Connor, MS

Alicia is Director of Personal Training and Post Rehab Training at the MUSC Health Wellness Center. She received her B.S. degree at the University of South Carolina and did her graduate work in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University. Alicia is been certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Instructor. She is currently involved in a research grant focusing on obesity prevention.
