Amy Williams is an Instructor in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program at The Medical University of South Carolina. She received both her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree and Master of Science Nursing degree at The Medical University of South Carolina.
Ms. Williams is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the South Carolina Nurses Association and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners Ms. Williams serves on the board of the Charleston Area Children’s Garden Project.
Ms. Williams has experience in pediatric pulmonology and pediatric primary care. She currently provides primary care for pediatric patients at MUSC Children’s Care in North Charleston, South Carolina. The clinic has a large Spanish-speaking population and Ms. Williams speaks Spanish in her practice. Her research interests include childhood obesity, childhood asthma, and promoting culturally competent healthcare. She is a recipient of the DAISY award for extraordinary nurses.
