Advisory Boards 
Scientific Advisory Board The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) consists of an Administrative Core Director, selected CTSA researchers, an interprofessional researcher from each of MUSC's six colleges, and two community members. The board meets semi-annually and the board members serve two years with renewable terms. Responsibilities: - Monitor scientific rigor and merit;
- Ensure cultural competence;
- Provide review for pilot grants;
- Review research progress and guide the research mission of the CCHP; and
- Provide advice on sources and leveraging of funding.

Community Advisory Board The Community Advisory Board (CAB) consists of community members representing public/private/and government organizations and/or various ethnic/racial, geographic constituencies across the state. The board meets semi-annually and the board members serve two years with renewable terms. Responsibilities: - Identify community priorities, needs, and interests;
Set research priorities; - Participate, provide input and/or resources for active or potential research, such as navigation, access, development, implementation, and evaluation;
- Identify community members to participate on project steering committees; and,
- Promote community support for and involvement with research.
