RESEARCH Interpersonal Violence Awareness and Prevention Funded by The Duke Endowment, this community-based program addresses domestic violence issues by serving as a resource for primary care providers, local organizations and educational entities. We have just finished developing a website that has resources for primary care providers to use in order to screen for interpersonal violence which is called the Interpersonal Violence Primary Care Toolkit. A DVD on intimate partner violence was previously developed with the Duke Endowment funds and can be found on the website as well. Additionally, HHI faculty and consultants are available for community workshops on domestic violence. Community-based Participatory Research HHI Faculty and students work with our community partners to engage and mobilize academic/community partnerships to reduce health disparities and promote health equity. Working with the Center for Community Health Partnerships (CCHP), students participate throughout each semester in a variety of on-going research projects as well as outreach activities.
