The Hispanic Health Initiative, and Continuing Nursing Education Program reside within the Office of Practice. | | Staff assist faculty with the credentials process, compliance training, identification and development of new practice opportunities, and provide support for the Faculty Practice Committee. Faculty and staff assist students in the identification of unique opportunities for clinical and mentored experiences in community or practice based research.
| Hispanic Health Initiatives
The Hispanic Health Initiatives has funding from the Duke Endowment and Health and Human Resources Administration to create a racially and ethnically diverse nursing workforce, to promote cultural effectiveness among nurses, to promote health services research, and
to provide direct services to Hispanic Families.
| Continuing Education

About the College
Effective November 1, Teresa Kelechi will assume the role of Department Chair. Employed at MUSC for 22 years, Teresa joined the College of Nursing faculty in 2001. She is a board certified gerontological clinical nurse specialist and a certified wound care nurse. Teresa takes over the reins of Department Chair from Elizabeth Erkel who will retire at the end of the year.
