Welcome to the MUSC Medical Center Department of Pharmacy Services. Our department which consists of 260 pharmacists, technicians and support staff is dedicated to providing excellent pharmaceutical care to all patients. We live in paradise and thrive at a cutting edge medical center.
We work closely with the South Carolina College of Pharmacy to provide education to new pharmacists joining the profession. We also have a residency program with 22 residents practicing in 13 programs each year.
Our department has been honored to win 3 ASHP awards in the last three years. In 2008, we won the ASHP Pharmacy Residency Award for Excellence. In 2009, we won the ASHP Best Practices Award for our Collaborative Drug Therapy Management Program. And we recently learned that we have won the 2010 ASHP Foundation Award for Excellence in Medication Use Safety.
