   | MUSC Medical Center Residency Program | Information | Qualifications


Applicants must possess a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy and must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of South Carolina.  Applicants for the following PGY2 specialized residencies should have completed a PGY1 residency or have equivalent practice experience:  Critical Care, Drug Information, Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Transplantation.  Alternatively, a 24-month specialty residency with pharmacy practice requirements in the first year is offered for Drug Information and Psychiatry.  Applicants for the Ambulatory Care, Health-system Pharmacy Administration, and Pharmacotherapy residencies must apply for a 24-month combined PGY1/PGY2 residency.

Selected applicants for all programs will be required to visit the Medical University of South Carolina campus for an on-site interview.   Selection criteria may be obtained through the residency program office.
