BMTRY 789-03 Current Topics in Biostatistics & Epidemiology
This course is mandatory for first-year MS and PhD students in DBE. The overall goal of the course is to expose students to a broad range of biostatistical and epidemiologic concepts, theories, and methods. The course requirements will include attendance at DBE seminars and Tea Time for Science seminars. Following each seminar, students will engage in a faculty-led discussion about the seminar topic. By the completion of this course, students will be exposed to multiple research designs and analytic tools, the medical literature utilizing these designs and tools, and the research conducted by DBE faculty members.
