The Addiction Sciences Division (ASD) within the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is one of the nation’s premier academic settings for the study and treatment of addiction.
The ASD has a multidisciplinary faculty of more than 30 full-time MDs and PhDs with expertise ranging from pharmacology and psychology, to adult and child psychiatry. The ASD is truly translational in its approach to research, clinical care, and training. Our objective is to utilize the latest technology and scientific knowledge to make discoveries that ultimately improve patient care outcomes.
