DART Summer Research Fellowship Program

2018 DART Summer Research Day

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) DART program offers a summer research fellowship for students interested in learning more about research. The program is open to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students. During the fellowship, students spend 10 weeks working full-time in their research mentor’s lab. The goal of the DART Summer Fellowship Program is to introduce promising students to research, both basic science and clinical in nature, and afford them the opportunity to work closely with a research mentor and his/her investigative team.

  • Eligibility: Medical, Graduate, & Undergraduate Students
  • Stipend amount:    $3,500
  • Duration:  10 weeks starting May 20, 2019 through July 26, 2019

Application Procedure: Applications are competitive. Only a limited number of students will be able to participate each summer. Students that are accepted into the summer program will be matched with a faculty mentor based on research interests. Thus, you do not need to identify a mentor before you apply to the DART summer program. If your application is accepted, we will identify a mentor for you, and will provide you with your mentor's name and contact information so that you may contact him or her and begin preparing for the summer program.
