Women's Research Center

Committed to advancing research in women’s health and promoting institutional interdisciplinary research, the Women’s Research Center (WRC) at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is comprised of MUSC’s Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) K12 program and the Specialized Center of Research (SCOR) on Sex and Gender Factors Affecting Women’s Health research center.  The WRC is pleased to collaborate with MUSC’s Addiction Sciences Division; Advancement, Recruitment and Retention of Women in Science; the department of Neurosciences, various training programs on campus, and our community partners to ensure an optimal environment for the development of women’s health research.  For more information on the WRC, please contact Sarah Gainey at or (843) 792-8207.
