Continuing Education Events
The Department puts on bimonthly Psychiatry Grand Rounds as well as continuing education events for mental health providers year round. Most events are conveniently located on our downtown Charleston campus or other nearby Lowcountry venues. Whether you need credit to maintain your licensure or are interested in a current topic we offer, we hope you can join us at one of our events.
Community Events and Fundraisers
According to NIH, 1 in 5 adults in America will experience mental health issues and nearly 60% of adults with a mental health illness did not receive mental health services in the previous year. We are dedicated to raising awareness and funds for mental health in our community, with our efforts supporting a variety of clinical, patient and research initiatives throughout our 12 divisions. Will you join us as we take a stance and shine a light on the importance of mental health?
We are a community of excellence, rooted in a history of innovative research, renowned clinical services, and one of the pre-eminent education and training programs in the nation. The Department hosts annual alumni events designed to help our superb alumni network with one another, as well as provide updates on the department's research, education and clinical programs. Additionally, we send out a quarterly newsletter. Be sure to join our mailing list or submit life celebrations to include in class notes.
