Sharlene Wedin, PsyD, ABPP


Sharlene Wedin, PsyD, ABPP received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University and is board certified in clinical psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with primary rotations in behavioral medicine and outpatient psychology. Dr. Wedin completed a M.A. in counseling psychology at the University of Denver and B.A. with honors in scientific/experimental psychology from Alfred University. Dr. Wedin previously was Army officer and faculty at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. She is currently an assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Bio-behavioral Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is also a clinical supervisor for interns and fellows in the Behavioral Medicine Clinic.

       At the completion of this session, the participant will be able to:

1.  Discuss the issues involved in defining creativity.
2.  Summarize the evidence suggesting a link between creativity and mental illness.
