Dr. VandenBerg is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences with the MUSC and South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences with the MUSC College of Medicine, Residency Program Director for the MUSC/SCCP Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice Residency and Coordinator of Pharmacy Services for the MUSC Institute of Psychiatry. She received her B.S in Biological Psychology from University of Michigan in 1994 and a PharmD from University of Michigan in 1999. From 1999-2001 she completed residency training in Pharmacy Practice and Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice at the Medical University of South Carolina and then became Residency Program Director and Coordinator of Pharmacy Services in 2002. She attained Board Certification in Psychiatric Pharmacy in 2002. Dr. VandenBerg works primarily in the inpatient setting at the Institute of Psychiatry and is involved in research in areas of depot antipsychotic therapy, formulary management, pharmacoeconomics and medication safety. She is involved in multiple committees with the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists and is the co-editor of Medication Fact Sheets published by the National Alliance on Mental Illness. |
