| Conference Overview |
This annual CME event will inform participants of the differences in treatment modalities for various psychiatric disorders. Treatment options typically fall into one of the following categories: pharmacological treatment or non-pharmacological treatment. Attendees will be offered the chance to learn about the benefits and drawbacks of each method in relation to specific disorders. Speakers are mental health experts (clinicians and researchers) who will discuss the latest treatment research and evidence. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers in an informal roundtable setting, allowing open discussion and debate around the treatment options for each disorder. back to top |

| Course Objectives |
At the end of this program, participants will be able to: - Evaluate patients and prescribe pharmacological and/or non-pharmacological treatment options for various mood disorders.
- Reference research findings regarding diagnosis and management of the PTSD patient.
- Evaluate recent research findings and proposed DSM diagnosis changes for the various mental health disorders.
- Implement evidence based diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for Borderline Personality Disorder
- Implement strategies to improve diagnostic techniques based on practice guidelines for Borderline Personality Disorder.
- Evaluate patients for early diagnosis of Social Anxiety Disorder and prescribe psychotherapy or drug therapy reliant on evidence based data.
