SPEAKER BIO

Eve G. Spratt, MD, MSCR is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics. She is triple board trained in Pediatrics, Child Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry.  Her clinical work has focused on the overlap of medical, developmental  and mental health with an emphasis on the promotion of positive mental health.  Her recent research has focused on two main projects 1) the impact of a history of child neglect on neurobiology, cognition and psychiatric functioning and 2) Neurobiological Gender differences in Autism.

  
  
      OBJECTIVES                                                                                                                                                               
         At the completion of this session, the participant should be able to:
       

  1) To briefly review the literature on neurobiological mechanisms of childhood stress

  2) To  outline recent research on neurobiology and childhood psychopathology focusing on children with a history of  maltreatment and on children with Autism
