SPEAKER BIO

Whitney Fulton, MD

Dr. Whitney Fulton is originally from South Point, Ohio, and moved to Charleston for her post-graduate training.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, prior to early admission to medical school at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University.  She graduated from medical school in 2010 and came to the Medical University of South Carolina to complete a residency in Psychiatry.  She is currently a first year Child Psychiatry Fellow here at MUSC.

Dale Miller, MD

Dr. Dale Miller is in her final year of Child and Adolescent Fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Miller completed her medical school education and General Psychiatry residency at the University of South Florida, where she received several awards for excellence in the field of psychiatry. Her specific interests include mental health issues in the deaf and hard of hearing community and the treatment of ADHD in school-age children.

  
      OBJECTIVES                                                                                                                                                               
       At the completion of this session, the participant will be able to:
      

1.  Identify the common presenting signs and symptoms of catatonia.
2.  Identify treatment options for catatonia.
