| In the 6-week 3rd-Year Psychiatry Clerkship, students are assigned to one of the inpatient units or consult services at the Institute of Psychiatry (IOP) or the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). |

In addition, students attend either a half or whole day ancillary/outpatient experience per week for 5 weeks. Ancillary experiences include the Substance Abuse Treatment Clinic (SATC), VA Mental Health Inpatient/Consults, MUSC Day Treatment program, Outpatient Substance Abuse Clinic, Berkeley County Mental Health, Charleston/Dorchester County Mental Health, National Crime Victims Center (NCVC), Psychosomatic Medicine Consults, Forensic Psychiatry, Nursing Home Visits, Outpatient Psychiatry/Addicition Clinic and the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Clinic at the VA. |
