 Psychiatry Residency Programs:
 

General Psychiatry Residency Training Program (NRMP Code 1680400 C0). Prepares residents for specialty board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. The duration of training is 4 years.

Combined Residency Training Program in General Psychiatry and General Internal Medicine (NRMP Code 1680715 C0). Prepares residents for practice in both fields and for specialty board certification by both the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. The duration of training is 5 years.

Combined Residency Training Program in General Psychiatry and General Neurology  Prepares residents for practice in both fields and for specialty board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in both general psychiatry as well as general neurology. The duration of training is 6 years.

Research Track - MUSC also has research track that can be integrated within any of the three main psychiatry residency programs.

 
   
 
 Psychiatry Fellowships:
  

Addiction Psychiatry Prepares residents for sub-specialty board certification in Addiction Psychiatry. Eligibility for admission is based upon completion of the 4 years of general psychiatry training. The duration of this sub-specialty program is one year, and the minimum total duration of training for both the specialty and sub-specialty programs is 5 years.

Geriatric Psychiatry (NRMP Code 1680405 F0). Prepares residents for sub-specialty board certification in Geriatric Psychiatry. Eligibility for admission is based upon completion of the 4 years of general psychiatry training. The duration of this sub-specialty program is one year, and the minimum total duration of training for both the specialty and sub-specialty programs is 5 years.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Prepares residents for sub-specialty board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Eligibility for admission is based upon completion of at least three years of general psychiatry training. The duration of this sub-specialty program is two years, and the minimum total duration of training for both the specialty and sub-specialty programs is 5 years.

Forensic Psychiatry Forensic Psychiatry is where Law and Mental Health meet. Training prepares residents for sub-specialty board certification in Forensic Psychiatry. Eligibility for admission is based upon completion of four years of general psychiatry training. The duration of this sub-specialty program is one year.
