Biographical Sketch
Dr. Kristy Center is a clinical psychologist on the PTSD Clinical Team at the Ralph H. Johnson VAMC and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at MUSC. She earned her doctorate degree at California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, CA in 2009 with a specialty in health psychology. She completed clinical internship in health psychology and PTSD and postdoctoral fellowship in PTSD at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, AR. Currently she provides evidence-based PTSD therapies through in-person and telehealth modalities. She supervises psychology doctoral level and masters level interns in PTSD interventions. She is a national consultant in Prolonged Exposure, teaches a first-year medical school course, and is a project therapist on a study examining Concurrent Treatment for PTSD and Substance Abuse using Prolonged Exposure Therapy (COPE).

Clinical and/or Research Expertise
 child obesity, virtual reality assisted exposure therapy for PTSD in active duty Navy and Marine service members, and mindfulness treatments for PTSD in Veterans.
