Biographical Sketch

Dr. Darrow is a staff psychologist in the Posttraumatic Stress Clinical Team at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a B.A. in Psychology, and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Dakota. She completed her clinical internship at the Missouri Health Sciences Psychology Consortium in Columbia, and went on to the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX to complete her postdoctoral fellowship in Trauma Psychology with an emphasis on the diagnosis of postconcussive symptomotolgy as well as adjustment to amputation and spinal cord injury.  Dr. Darrow's focus is on the effective treatment of PTSD in the veteran population using Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy, working with those impacted by Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and providing couple's therapy to veterans and their partners. She is also a Regional Trainer for Cognitive Processing Therapy.
