Dr. Kerns is a Faculty Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She currently holds the position of Interventional Psychiatry Fellow in the MUSC Brain Stimulation Services, receiving her advanced training under Dr. Mark S. George. She is a board certified psychiatrist under the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She received her medical degree from the University of Sydney in Australia and completed her residency training at Duke University Medical Center in June 2013.
